So who is Matthew Johnson?
Matthew Johnson, Magician, Juggler, Balloon Twister & "Real Funny Guy" is a versatile and busy performer from Vancouver, British Columbia, who handles everything from corporate events to family shows with the same dynamic flair.
Matthew began performing many years ago in his native England where he developed his own unique style of magic. He has traveled the world entertaining both young and old & after an extended stay at the Hilton Hotel in Japan, decided to make Vancouver his new home.
Matthew has many top awards to his name including Best Family Entertainer in 2002, Most Inventive Magician 2002, Close Up Magician of the Year for 2002 & Best Impromptu Card Magic for 2002. Most recently Matthew was awarded the Platform Magician of the Year award by the Pacific Coast Association of Magicians.
In 2007 Matthew decided to try his skills in the world of acting and landed a role on his second audition. Matthew was flown to Argentina where he filmed a TV commercial for the US insurance giant "Nationwide". The TV commercial now plays across the US and features Matthew as a magician making a car vanish.
Matthew is also recognized the world over for his magic effects & DVD's that are marketed worldwide by Murphy's Magic Supplies. You may recognize such titles as "The Secret Art of Monkey Business 1 & 2", "Color Blind", "Drinks On Me" &"Black I's" to name but a few.
Matthew is also proud to have been a featured performer on the "True Astonishments dvd set" by Paul Harris & works by Paul Romhany, Christopher Taylor and Tony Chris.
In his lectures Matthew draws on his extensive background as an all round magician & entertainer to bring you material that has won rave reviews all over the world!
