Competitions and Rules

We will be holding 4 competitions.

These are as follows:

Stage Magic

Close up Magic

Children’s Magic

Bag of Crap

 

Stage Magic Competition

Limited to 6 entrants on a first come, first served basis.

Each performance to be a maximum of 10 minutes in length.

Judging will be via a panel of selected judges.

Minimum of 3 entrants required to proceed with the competition.

*No use of animals, fire, lit cigarettes, flash paper or pyrotechnics*

*Animals are strictly not allowed on the premises* 

 

Close Up Competition

Limited to 10 entrants on a first come, first served basis.

Each performance to be a maximum of 8 minutes.

Reset time between each table will be 2 minutes.

Judging will be via the audience.

Entrants may be required to perform at a maximum of ten tables.

Minimum of 5 entrants required to proceed with the competition.

Anyone who goes over the time limit will be disqualified.

Anyone who is not ready to perform after the 2 minutes reset time

 will be disqualified.

 

Children’s Magic Competition

Limited to 6 entrants on a first come, first served basis.

Each performance to be a maximum of 10 minutes in length.

Judging will be via a panel of selected judges.

Minimum of 3 entrants required to proceed with the competition.

*No use of fire, cigarettes, flash paper or pyrotechnics.*

*Animals not to be used in any competition as animals are not allowed on the premises.* 

*Children will be present during the competition*

 

Bag of Crap Competition

Details to be advised shortly.

 

Entry to competitions is only by Convention registration.

We will not put any names on any competition list without registration fees being paid.

All final decisions to be made by the committee.
